It is the mission of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. to enhance the quality of life for women and their families in the U.S. and globally through community service, civil, and social action. Our goal is to achieve greater progress in the areas of education, health awareness, and leadership development. About the Event
Come join us at the Apex Centre for a fun-filled day of swimming and community spirit! This two-hour swim clinic is designed to promote water safety and teach basic swimming techniques, helping youth feel safe and confident in the water. Swim 1922 is a national partnership between Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. and USA Swimming, created in response to a sobering statistic from the CDC: approximately 10 people drown each day in the U.S. The initiative aims to strengthen USA Swimming’s commitment to diversity and inclusion by breaking down barriers caused by limited access and exposure, increasing swim participation, and reducing drowning rates in local communities.
